PDF

From the dark basement of the Rietveld, the slides of the SKOR archive will be brought to light! During a three-day event the many treasures of below will shine in the public eye.

The project Diascope by Claudine Arendt & Nicola Godman, takes as its aim to surface and create publicity for what rests inside drawers, folders and boxes.

On Wednesday 16 November, Diascope presents slides form the Volksgezondheid (health care) collection. Carried out in hospitals and care homes they are to be found in semi-open buildings. During the opening ceremony they will be shown publicly and highlighted through projection, turning the pavilion into a light-box.

On Thursday 17 November Diascope – Séparée follows the cataloguing done by SKOR. Strapping it to a tight schedule, 15 minutes per year, covering 18 years it will link the archival system to its accessibility.

Friday 18 November is the closing day where books from the SKOR library will be for sale. Come by!
