Thinking the diagram entails negotiating several registers of relations between forces immanent to the genesis of \u2018things.\u2019 Diagrammatix as a technique or procedure of abstraction experimentally engages energetic transductions between the discursive and the non-discursive, the visible and articulable, content and expression, chaos and order, catastrophe and rhythm within an \u2018ecology of practices.\u2019 Diagramming abstracts a collaborative mattering of \u2018things\u2019 at all scales of experience, from quarks to cosmos, facts to fictions, object to art object, performers to publics, animating potential relays of the event and its concerns. The research aims to contribute to emerging discourse on experimental methods in artistic research praxis.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Biography<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Sher Doruff has worked in the visual, digital and performance arts in Chicago, New York and Amsterdam. She currently mentors and supervises masters students and PhD candidates in several artistic research programmes in the Netherlands. Her practice-based doctoral research, \u2018The Translocal Event and the Polyrhythmic Diagram,\u2019 mapped collaborative, creative processes in Live Art performance practice.
