The centre of expertise often organizes these presentations on art and public space in collaboration with other art institutions. Recent symposia organised as part of the exhibition Pay Attention Please! of the organisation Public Art Amsterdam, were the minisymposium <a href=\"http:\/\/laps-rietveld.nl\/?p=5694\">The Pitfalls and Potentialities of Gentrification<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/laps-rietveld.nl\/?p=5686\">Sunday Seminar: Pay Attention Please!<\/a> (in collaboration with the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Publications<br \/>\n<\/span>LAPS Centre of Expertise presents the results of completed research and activities in book form. These publications can be reports of research, an accompanying publication for a project or an extensive contemplative work.<\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with Rogier Brom, LAPS has edited:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/laps-rietveld.nl\/?p=5648\">Being Public: How Art Creates the Public.<\/a>\u00a0It also cooperated on the publication <a href=\"http:\/\/laps-rietveld.nl\/?p=5655\">Compassion: A Paradox in Art and Society<\/a>\u00a0about the artist Rini Hurkman&#8217;s research on her work The Flag of Compassion.\u00a0In addition, recent publications are <a href=\"http:\/\/laps-rietveld.nl\/?p=2658\"><i>Wild Park \u2013 Commissioning the Unexpected<\/i><\/a> of Jeroen Boomgaard, written in commission of the Fonds BKVB, and <a href=\"http:\/\/laps-rietveld.nl\/?p=2658\"><i>Highrise \u2013 Common Ground, Art and the Amsterdam Zuidas Area<\/i><\/a> compiled by Jeroen Boomgaard.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Public Art Amsterdam<br \/>\n<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/publicart.amsterdam\">Public Art Amsterdam<\/a>\u00a0(PAA) is a collaboration of twelve leading Amsterdam art institutions: Amsterdam Museum, CBK Zuidoost, De Appel, Framer Framed, GET LOST \u2013 art projects, LAPS \/ Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Mediamatic, Stichting NDSM-werf, Oude Kerk Amsterdam, Stedelijk Museum, TAAK en Zone2Source.<\/p>\n<p>Public Art Amsterdam asks your attention for the public space of Amsterdam. Space we share, that is controversial, full of contradictions, but also full of ideals. Space that is continually in motion. PAA manifested itself for the first time during Pay Attention Please! from 21 June until 30 September 2018.
