Amy Suo Wu
Amy Suo Wu is an artist, designer and teacher. She was born in China, grew up in Australia, and currently lives in the Netherlands since 2006. Her fellowship project ‘Serenity Department’ is an experimental biography and intergenerational mending research project made in close collaboration with her Mum, Maria Ling Qing Huang. This research is a dialogue between her mother’s life story told through her drawings and Suo Wu herself in the form of biographical writing and embodied publishing. Together they are exploring how drawings can be used as alternative communication methods in the mending of linguistic gaps between first and second generation.
