The publication is a reflection of the research and gives insight into the realization of the Rietveld Research Residency. With contributions of Henri Jacobs, Lucy Cotter, Jeroen Boomgaard and Ann Meskens.

Visual artist Henri Jacobs (1957) lives and works since 1993 in Brussels. His work has been presented in Brussels, New York, Paris, and Venice among others. Since December 2003 Henri Jacobs draws a steady stream of drawings. These Journal drawings slide with a certain regularity into his Journal chapter on his website: www.henrijacobs.be. These are drawings in which he exploits himself as an image bank.
Ann Meskens (1965) studied philosophy and applied ethics at the KU Leuven and the University of Nice. She gives lectures, works as a radio columnist and writes for a variety of papers and magazines. Her book Tati became part of the longlist of the Socrates Wisselbeker 2006 as on the tiplist of the ako Literatuurprijs 2006. Since 2010 she is a Writer-In-Residence at the Gerrit Rietveld Acadmie for two days a week.
De Rietveld Research Residency is a cooperation between the Mondriaan Fund and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie.
